SPIRIT NIGHT AT MILTON'S

Thanks to everyone who joined us on May 20th! It's always wonderful to see so many Wakefield Elementary families supporting our events.

SPIRIT NIGHT
at TEXAS ROADHOUSE

It was great to see so many of our WES staff and families at Texas Roadhouse! Here are a few of the happy faces!

BOOSTERTHON

For those of you who were not able to attend, here are a selection of photos of the various fun runs. Students did a fabulous job running their laps, in unseasonably cold weather. There was some jumping around to warm up, then after walking the first lap the running began! Not that it was just running though - there were "Walk like an Egyptian lap", skipping laps and more, interwined with lots of fun music and commentary from the Boosterthon team who certainly know how to make a run, "fun".

Second and Third Grade Fun Run

BOOSTERTHON

HUDDLE PHOTOS

Students had fun learning their new daily daily character lessons, dancing and of course seeing their class pledge totals rise!

Miss McNamara's class won one of the challenges, so they got to tape Zach to the flag pole! If you were at car pool and weren't sure why someone was stuck to the pole, it wasn't a prank:-).

MOTHER SON SPORTS SPECTACULAR PHOTOS

The Mother Son Sports Spectacular was held on March 1st, and mothers and son alike had fun with lots of activities, including skeeball, cornhole, mini golf and of course, dancing! Here are some photos of the night.

FATHER DAUGHTER DANCE WRAP-UP

The annual event was held on February 22nd and there were over 300 attendees! Everyone seemed to have a fabulous time dancing - and the 33 dozen cupcakes were also a smashing success! Here are some photos of the night. If you have some you'd like to share, please send them to wesptacomms@gmail.com.

PHOTOS OF SERGIO'S SPIRIT NIGHT

Despite it being the middle of the week, Wakefield Elementary families came out and supported our school, both by dining in and ordering take out at Sergio's.

Making a special appearance was Wes the Eagle, who even engaged in an impromptu jumping competition with some of the younger crowd! As always, everyone was happy to see him.

SPIRIT NIGHT AT PDQ

Thursday, December 12

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our final spirit night of 2013! Despite the cold, we had a good turnout. Check out some of our happy attendees below and remember, you can check out more photos on our Facebook page.

CAROLINA ALE HOUSE
SPIRIT DAY

Thanks to everyone who came out to support our Spirit Day at Carolina Ale House, on November 18th! Although I wasn't able to attend, I am still able to share some photos of the night, courtesy of others who kindly sent their photos. Remember to check out our Facebook page for more photos.

BOOKFAIR / APPETIZER
STACK UP NIGHT

Thanks to everyone who joined us on Thursday 14th November, 2013 for a fabulous evening. The Bookfair and Cup Stacking is always fun, but add in some free appetizers from Panera, PDQ, Daylight Donuts, California Pizza Kitchen, Papa Johns, Sergio's and Dickie's (who amazingly joined us, even thought they were actually celebrating their Opening Night that night!), and that caps it off!

Some staff tried their hand at cup stacking, whilst other recommended books at the Bookfair. Overall, a succesful night based on the happy faces by the end of the night.

Check out our photos below. Want to see more? Go to our Facebook page.

SCARY SKATE
FAMILY FUN NIGHT PHOTOS

Scary Skate was on October 25 and we had a wonderful turn out. It was great seeing so many costumes and teachers had a difficult time selecting prize winners!

COSTUME BINGO PHOTOS

Thanks to all of you who turned up on October 18th. We had the largest turnout to Costume Bingo EVER! It was wonderful to see so many turn out in their costumes. Hopefully Scary Skate will be equally as successul!

Fall Festival

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us on Saturday, September 21st! We decided to err on the side of caution and held the event indoors. Despite the change iayout, everyone who attended seemed to have fun!

It was wonderful to see so many happy, smiling (and painted!) faces creating arts and crafts, playing games, competing against teachers and enjoying the inflatables, not to mention the dancing along with the DJ and trying out lacrosse.

We've posted some photos on our Facebook page, but have included some here for you too. Enjoy.

Rolling Thunder joined us for our Opening Ceremony and flag raising.

The event was made even more special with the addition of our chorus, who had been well trained by Ms. Garrett. They did a lovely job and got us off to a great start.

Miss Wake Forest joined us and judged the cakes. The winner? The Despicable Me cake!

We also had some stage acts.

And of course inflatables and all the other fun things!

One of the highlights was "Tape Miss Dunbar to the Wall"

After an hour an a half, heat got the better of Miss Dunbar and the sleeves had to be sacrificed!

And after a successful event, a very tired group of ladies (some were so tired they had to leave before we took this photo!)

SPIRIT NIGHT AT SWEET SPOONS

Thanks to everyone who came and supported our three night event! Check out some photos below and on our Facebook page. Remember, that if you have photos you would like to share, send them to wesptacomms@gmail.com.

BOX TOPS NIGHT
AT WAKEFIELD FOODLION

Thanks to everyone who turned up on Tuesday, August 27th for Box Tops night! It was great to see so many of you there and of course, interacting with WES the Eagle!

OUR FABULOUS SPIRIT NIGHT
AT PDQ!

We had an AMAZING response to our first Spirit Night of the year. It was wonderful seeing so many families, friends and staff members. To say we were astounded by our school community's response, would be an understatement. Thank you to every one who came and thanks to PDQ for their speedy service, despite the huge numbers!

Here are some photos of the night. Go to our Facebook page to see even more pictures!

We hope to see you again at our next Spirit Night at Sweet Spoons in September!

Meet and Greet

July 3rd marked our teacher "Meet and Greet' - or for those who are already familiar with their new teacher, a chance to see their new classroom.

Many students also used the opportunity to catch up with their teachers from last year!

We thank our staff for taking the time out of their busy schedules to allow parents an opportunity to do this!
